STUDIÓW EUROPEJSKICH
Kierownik: Józef NIŻNIK, prof. dr hab.
W skład Zespołu wchodzą następujący badacze, w większości absolwenci Szkoły Nauk Społecznych: dr Katarzyna Andrejuk, dr Joanna Fomina, dr Natalya Ryabinska, dr Piotr Toczyski. Skład Zespołu zostanie rozszerzony w ciągu najbliższego roku akademickiego o wybranych studentów Szkoły Nauk Społecznych IFiS PAN.
Zespół Studiów Europejskich jest międzynarodową grupą młodych badaczy. Prace badawcze prowadzone w Zespole dotyczą Europy jako specyficznej jednostki cywilizacyjnej, dokonujących się w Europie przemian demokracji, procesu integracji europejskiej oraz jej międzynarodowego kontekstu. Ze szczególną uwagą bada się wpływ integracji europejskiej na przemiany społeczne, kulturowe i polityczne w krajach Europy Środkowej i Wschodniej. Problematyka ta znajduje wyraz w powstających w zespole rozprawach doktorskich oraz pracach badawczych realizowanych przy współpracy międzynarodowej. W latach 2004 – 2009 Zespół reprezentował IFiS PAN w programie CONNEX (Connecting Excellence on European Governance) uruchomionym w ramach VI Programu Ramowego Unii Europejskiej. CONNEX prowadził działalność jako Network of Excellence, a pełny tytuł podjętych badań brzmiał : „Efficient and democratic governance in a multi-level Europe”. Projekt był koordynowany przez Uniwersytet w Mannheim, Mannheimer Zentrum für Europäische Sozialforschung.
KATARZYNA ANDREJUK is Assistant Professor at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology. Her professional interests include multiculturalism, migrations, European Union and Europeanisation. She holds MA degrees in law and sociology and an LLM degree in European law. She obtained her PhD degree in 2012 from the University of Warsaw. Her dissertation explored educational migrations from Poland to the United Kingdom after Polish accession to the European Union.
JOANNA FOMINA was born in Kamenets Podolski, in 1979. She holds Ph.D. in sociology from the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Master’s degree in English from Jagiellonian University, Krakow and Master’s degree in British Studies from Humboldt University, Berlin. She worked for Amnesty International, London and Civil Service International, Bonn. Her academic interests include European integration and enlargement, immigration and immigrant integration, multiculturalist policies and gender equality.
NATALYA RYABINSKA, holds PhD in sociology granted by the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Polish Academy of Sciences . Earlier graduated in sociology in Sociology Department at Kharkiv State University. In 2000 she got her MA in Sociology from Manchester University (realizing MA programme in the Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences). Her PhD research was on "Media Framing and Citizens' Engagement in Public Life: Comparative Analysis of Ukrainian and Polish Press" and her main interests include media and democracy, methodology of text analysis in Sociology.
PIOTR TOCZYSKI – between 1999-2004 studied law, social science, psychology and cultural studies within the framework of interdepartmental individual studies at the Univerity of Warsaw. He holds Ph.D. from the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Master’s degree in Social Psychology from the University of Warsaw Department of Psychology. In 2004-2005 at the University of Wales, Bangor, (first under Erasmus, then enrolled to continue a research project) he researched British print media coverage of Arthurianism. His interests include: internet analyses, sociology of the media, cultural criticism, science funding and medievalism. He works as an analyst for online publishing company where his responsibilities include establishing new partnerships for internet research projects. From 1997 to 2003 collaborated with “Polis” journal, from 2000 to 2002 with “Unia&Polska” magazine. He has published numerous articles in the Polish press. Involved in NGO activities on the European level.

Artykuły dyskusyjne ZSE to seria, w której prezentujemy prace członków Zespołu Studiów Europejskich IFiS PAN. Upubliczniając w ten sposób swoje prace autorzy mają nadzieję na wywołanie debaty naukowej i zapoznanie się z opiniami innych badaczy. Spis treści zakładki Artykuły dyskusyjne ZSE zawiera listę tekstów dostępnych w formie elektronicznej, poczynając od tekstu, który został tam zamieszczony jako ostatni. W przypadku, gdy zamieszczony tu tekst został następnie opublikowany w czasopiśmie naukowym lub jako rozdział książki, informuje o tym dołączona notka bibliograficzna. Obowiązują standardowe zasady cytowania tekstów z serii Artykuły dyskusyjne ZSE.
